Culture, Indigenous Intellectual Property Rights: And Some Ethical Issues

The article is divided into the following parts:

A) Some basic clarifications about what is an intellectual property right and an attempt at conceptual analysis of its meaning, basically from a philosophical perspective.

B) Some clarifications about some of its components, finally restricting my analysis on one form of intellectual property, patent, and its legal, applied, and other dimensions.

C) Some ethical issues related to developing and the developed countries that are addressed from third world perspective and some possible suggestions for a meaningful dialogue between the developing and the developed countries, that is essential for safeguarding the human, moral and the sensitive dimension of science and technology with its central focus on human welfare.
